ABAMECTIN POUR-ON SOLUTION 0.5%
DESCRIPTION
Abamectin Pour-on Solution 0.5% is a clear to slightly opalescent solution containing 5 mg of Abamectin per mL (0.5% w/v). Abamectin is a macrocyclic lactone endectocide derived from the fermentation of Streptomyces avermitilis. It is formulated for topical application (pour-on) to treat and control internal and external parasites in cattle and swine.

INDICATIONS
Cattle
Abamectin 0.5% Pour-on is indicated for the effective treatment and control of the following parasites:
Gastrointestinal Nematodes (Adults and L4 stages):
Ostertagia ostertagi (including inhibited larvae)
Haemonchus placei
Trichostrongylus axei
Trichostrongylus colubriformis
Cooperia oncophora
Cooperia punctata
Oesophagostomum radiatum
Bunostomum phlebotomum
Lungworms:
Dictyocaulus viviparus (Adults and L4 stages)
External Parasites:
Haematobia irritans (Horn flies)
Linognathus vituli (Long-nosed cattle louse)
Haematopinus eurysternus (Short-nosed cattle louse)
Solenopotes capillatus (Little blue cattle louse)
Psoroptes ovis (Mange mites)
Sarcoptes scabiei var. bovis (Mange mites)
Swine
Gastrointestinal Nematodes (Adults and L4 stages):

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Route of Administration: Topical (Pour-on) only. Do not inject.
Recommended Dose: 1 mL per 10 kg of body weight (equivalent to 500 mcg Abamectin per kg of body weight).
Application Method:
Apply the solution along the midline of the animal's back, from the withers to the tail head.
Ensure the animal's hide is clean and dry before application.
Do not apply to wet or rain-soaked animals.
Dosing Table (Example):
100 kg animal: 10 mL
200 kg animal: 20 mL
300 kg animal: 30 mL
400 kg animal: 40 mL
500 kg animal: 50 mL
WITHDRAWAL PERIODS
Cattle:
Meat: Do not slaughter for human consumption for 28 days after the last treatment.
Milk: Do not use in female dairy cattle of breeding age. Milk for human consumption must not be taken from cows for 7 days after the last treatment.
Swine:
Meat: Do not slaughter for human consumption for 28 days after the last treatment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS AND WARNINGS
Species Specificity: For use in cattle and swine only. Do not use in dogs, especially Collie breeds and other herding breeds (e.g., Sheepdogs), as severe adverse reactions (including death due to neurotoxicity) may occur.
Hypersensitivity: Do not use in animals previously known to be hypersensitive to Abamectin or other avermectins/milbemycins.
Human Warning: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash hands after use.
Environmental Warning: Abamectin is toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. Do not contaminate ponds or waterways with the product or used containers.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Local Reactions: Transient discomfort or slight irritation at the application site may occur.
Systemic Reactions: In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions (anaphylaxis) may occur, particularly in animals with a heavy parasite burden.
STORAGE
Store below 25°C (77°F).
Protect from light.
Do not freeze.
Keep the container tightly closed when not in use.
