【 Main Ingredients 】 Cefotaxime Sulfate

【 Appearance 】 This product is a suspension oil solution of fine particles. After settling, fine particles sink and shake well to form a uniform suspension ranging from off white to light brown.

Pharmacodynamic Cefotaxime is a fourth generation cephalosporin antibiotic specifically designed for animals. By inhibiting the synthesis of cell walls to achieve bactericidal effect, it has broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and is stable against β - lactam enzymes. In vitro antibacterial tests have shown that cefuroxime is sensitive to common Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Citrobacter, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Proteus, Salmonella, Serratia marcescens, Haemophilus bovis, Actinomyces pyogenes, bacteria of the Bacillus genus, Corynebacterium, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus, Bacteroides, Clostridium, Clostridium, Prevotella, Actinobacter, and Porcine erysipelas.  

Pharmacokinetic pigs were injected intramuscularly with 2mg of cefuroxime per 1kg body weight. After 0.4 hours, the blood drug concentration reached its peak, with a peak concentration of 5.93 µ g/ml. The elimination half-life was about 1.4 hours, and the area under the drug time curve was 12.34 µ g · h/ml.

β - lactam antibiotics are used to treat respiratory diseases in pigs caused by Pasteurella multocida or Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae.

【 Usage and Dosage 】 Intramuscular injection: One dose, 0.08~0.12ml per 1kg body weight, once a day for pigs, for 3~5 consecutive days.

[Adverse reactions] No adverse reactions have been observed when using according to the prescribed dosage.

[Precautions] (1) Animals allergic to beta lactam antibiotics are prohibited from use. (2) Individuals allergic to penicillin and cephalosporin antibiotics should not come into contact with this product. (3) Shake well before use.

[Rest period] 72 hours for pigs.
