【 Appearance 】 This product is a clear liquid ranging from colorless to slightly yellow or slightly yellow green in color.

Pharmacological effects: Lincomycin belongs to the Lincomycin class of antibiotics, which are antibacterial agents. Sensitive bacteria include Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin resistant strains), Streptococcus, Pneumococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Streptococcus suis, certain mycoplasma (Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Mycoplasma hyorhinis, Mycoplasma hyorhinis), Leptospira, and anaerobic bacteria (such as Clostridium difficile, Clostridium tetani, Clostridium perfringens, and most actinomycetes). It mainly acts on the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, exerting antibacterial effects by inhibiting the elongation of peptide chains and affecting protein synthesis.

After intramuscular injection, pharmacokinetics showed rapid absorption. A single intramuscular injection of 11mg/kg in pigs resulted in a peak blood concentration of 6.25 μ g/ml. The plasma protein binding rate is 57% to 72%. It is widely distributed in the body, with an apparent distribution volume of 2.8L/kg in pigs. Widely distributed in various body fluids and tissues (including bones), with the highest concentration in the liver and kidneys, and tissue drug concentrations several times higher than serum concentrations during the same period. It can enter the placenta, but it is not easy to cross the blood-brain barrier, and the drug is also difficult to reach an effective concentration in cerebrospinal fluid during inflammation. Can be distributed to milk, with the same concentration in milk as in plasma. Some drugs are metabolized in the liver, and the drug prototype and its metabolites are excreted through bile, urine, and milk. Fecal excretion can be delayed for several days, therefore it has an inhibitory effect on sensitive microorganisms in the intestine.

[Drug Interactions] (1) When used in combination with gentamicin, it has a synergistic effect on Gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus and Streptococcus. (2) Combined with aminoglycoside and peptide antibiotics, it may enhance the blocking effect on the neuromuscular junction. When used in combination with erythromycin, it has an antagonistic effect because the site of action is the same, and erythromycin has a stronger affinity for the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes than this product. (3) Not suitable for combination with antidiarrheal drugs that inhibit intestinal peristalsis and contain kaolin. (4) There are compatibility taboos with kanamycin, neomycin, etc.

[Function and Use] Lincolylamine antibiotics. Used for Gram positive bacterial infections, it can also be used for infections such as swine spirochetes and mycoplasma.

【 Usage and Dosage 】 Intramuscular injection: One dose, 0.033ml per 1kg body weight, once a day for pigs; 0.033ml for dogs and cats, twice a day, for 3-5 consecutive days.

Adverse reactions: It has a neuromuscular blocking effect.

【 Precautions 】 Intramuscular injection may cause transient diarrhea or soft stool. Although rare, necessary measures should be taken to prevent dehydration if it occurs.
