【 Main Ingredients 】 Ketoprofen

【 Appearance 】 This product is a colorless to pale yellow clear liquid.

Pharmacological effects: Ketoprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug with antipyretic and analgesic properties, belonging to aromatic propionic acid derivatives. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects. Its main mechanism of action is to exert anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects by interfering with cyclooxygenase in the arachidonic acid metabolism pathway, reducing the production of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and thromboxanes. Pharmacokinetic study: A single intramuscular injection (3mg/kg body weight) was administered to cows in the neck, with a peak concentration of 4.96 μ g/mL, a peak time of 1 hour, a bioavailability of 92.48%, and a plasma elimination half-life of 5.5 hours. This product is widely distributed in animals and is prone to accumulate at the site of inflammation.

Indications: Used in combination with appropriate antibiotics to treat inflammation, fever, and muscle pain caused by clinical mastitis in dairy cows.

【 Usage and Dosage 】 Calculated with ketoprofen. Intramuscular injection: One dose, 3mg per 1kg body weight for cattle, once a day, for 3 consecutive days.

【 Adverse reactions 】 After intramuscular injection, there is a slight irritant effect on local tissues.

【 Precautions 】 (1) When used as an adjuvant therapy for clinical mastitis in cows, it should be used in combination with appropriate antibiotics. (2) Animals allergic to ketoprofen and with impaired liver and kidney function are prohibited from use. (3) Do not use it together with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. (4) Use with caution in animals with digestive ulcers or bleeding.
