Pharmacological effects: Levofloxacin antibiotics. Rifaximin is a semi synthetic derivative of rifampicin SV. It mainly achieves sterilization by irreversibly binding to the β - subunit of RNA polymerase that relies on DNA in bacteria, inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial RNA. Sensitive bacteria include anaerobic bacteria, Gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Cryptococcus, and Gram negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli.
